the dance affair is a well-established dance school in San Jose. We have been offering dance classes in San Jose and Santa Clara for over 25 years. We feel dance training is an important and valuable, as well as enjoyable, step in a student’s life. We are excited and confident in our program and all it has to offer. In 2001 Jamaica Stevens, Founder and Jamaica-Stevens-Founder-Executive-DirectorExecutive Director of JAMaROO Kids (formally known as Discovering the Joy of Dance) decided to combine her knowledge of Child Development with her passion for dance, music and teaching. Consequently she created an Introduction to Creative Movement and Dance class for preschool aged children. In 2004, she was passionate about expanding this program and left her position as Head Teacher at ABC Academy Preschool to embark on teaching these dance classes full time.
The mission of Nagata Dance is to enrich the lives of children and adults in San Francisco through a unique teaching method that inspires excellence, strengthens community and uplifts the human spirit.
