Do we need to wait for a while to cool down? And with hot or cold water? I guess those rules apply to both kids and parents.

After we workout, we’re pretty sweaty if we’ve been doing it right. You want to achieve that sweaty feeling so you know that you’re burning away fat and calories. That being said, should you wash off immediately or not? The good news is that it’s completely up to you. If you would prefer to come home and cook your dinner first and then shower, that’s fine. Or if you’d rather go home and wash immediately before you do anything else, you can do that too. A hot shower will relax your muscles and your mind. If you don’t want to feel too sleepy, rinse with cold water before getting out to enliven your body and mind again. However, if you’re the sort that works out early in the morning before you head to work, please shower before going to work. It would be unprofessional to show up dripping in sweat and as a courtesy to your coworkers who must sit near you, it would be greatly appreciated if you didn’t reek of sweat and gym mats. |
