Teachers these days are easier than ever to reach. Here are some ways to stay connected. Email At the beginning of the school year, your child’s teacher should have provided you with an email address and other contact information. Emails make it easy to message your child’s teacher with your questions and concerns. Phone Another tried and true method is reaching out by phone. These days with cell phones, you can also opt to text your child’s teacher. Keep an open line of communication No matter how you contact your child’s teacher, make sure you keep in touch in some form. Teachers work really hard to teach our children. Actively communicate about the things you think are going well in addition to any concerns you may have. Be involved Education involves all of us and it’s not just up to your child’s teachers to help your child be successful. You need to take an active role in your child’s education too. Know what’s going on in your child’s classroom from lessons to activities. And don’t forget that if you have the time to spare, offer to be of assistance even if you can only help at the beginning of the year with bulletin boards. Teachers always appreciate the extra help. |
