Outdoor Education

Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to a home away from home that helps them realize their full potential.
We work with experienced educators and childcare providers to help them start their own childcares or preschools out of their homes, whether they live in apartments, condos, or homes that they rent or own.

Growing Minds is not a typical Family Day Care and it is not a typical Center.  Growing Minds combines the very best of both options to give your child a unique experience designed to ignite a love of learning and foster a curiosity about the world around us.
Growing Minds is a project based program that changes and adapts to meet the needs of its enrollment.

Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF) is a private, nonprofit childcare center with a mission to provide Japanese/English bilingual, educational childcare in a multicultural context for preschool through elementary school-aged children from throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  

Founded in 2005 by Gever Tulley, at Tinkering School, we believe that kids are more capable than they know, and to prove it, we give them real tools to solve real problems. By learning through doing, we strive to make mistakes and learn from them, collaborate and make friends, and try harder than usual.
With wood, with metal, with cardboard, and sometimes with paint, Tinkerers work with one another as well as our unique staff to team-design and team-create amazing projects.
