Mighty Bambinis is a licensed play-based Reggio and RIE-inspired home-based preschool conveniently located off I-280 and I-101 near the Balboa and Glen Park BART stations. We serve children 20 months to 5 years old from 9am to 1pm M-F.
On August 22, 2017 we were evicted from our building at 5776 Broadway in Oakland. Private small group lessons are being taught at many private locations around Oakland. We are working to rebuild our concert series, which we hope to restart in February 2018 and we dream of someday owning our own building. Our camps, choirs and some private lessons are now at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church, 5951 College Avenue, Oakland, CA, 94618. Our community has stuck together and we have over 140 weekly students.

Kids Outdoor Club was started by a San Francisco father of three children who strongly believes that the great outdoors is one of the world's greatest teachers. Our award winning ("Best of the Bay") program has not changed that much at all. We still explore nature all over the city (and play games/sports) with a baseline philosophy of encouraging the children to self-direct their own day (not what the program schedule dictates).
Puddle Jumpers Workshop age group runs from 18 months to three years of age. We strongly encourage you to start the admissions process when your child is between 14 and 20 months old. Children, once admitted to the waitlist, are then eligible to be enrolled at Puddle Jumpers Workshop between the ages of 18 months to 2 years of age.
Nothing is more engaging or lasting than learning experiences and a school that children to explore, analyze and respect the world they live in. Where do clouds come from? Are snails born will shells? Do squirrels eat fruit? Children are bursting with questions and the teachers at Baby Steps encourage the children to think critically creative developmentally appropriate questions like, "How do you say hello in Japanese?"
Our approach to learning makes all the difference, and the research shows it! Little minds are wide open and ready to learn, and we have a unique way of encouraging children to become life-long learners. A recent study of 5000 KinderCare children using the nationally-recognized BRIGANCE® Early Childhood Screens III found that our students are exceeding expectations on their assessments.
At JC Family Childcare, we aim to provide the most comfortable, educational, and fun experience for your little human. Our facility occupies a full floor of our building complete with an indoor playground and sectionalized play areas appropriate for all children. We also feature weekly outdoor activities that range from trips to John McLaren Park to participating in story time at the Portola Library. In addition to our outdoor adventures we also incorporate arts and crafts, singing, story time, and circle time into our schedule daily.
Children's Sunflower House & Garden is a fun and enriching program for children ages 18 months to 5+years old. Children slowly grow their roots in our program by first joining a small weekly class that they attend with a family member. Our program includes weekly activity groups for children to attend with / without parents as a means of starting or continuing involvement in our children's community. Our overall goal is to promote the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child. A child will benefit from a program that is concerned with all aspects of his/her development.
